The Dutch tour of A tribute to Madiba has ended in 2015.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Traveling through South Africa with wonderful African song, dance and music. In South African Road Trip you can enjoy the famous Khayelitsha United Mambazo Choir from Cape Town township and five heavenly singers accompanied by two Dutch musicians. Together they bring a beautiful performance full of traditional Xhosa songs and contemporary songs.
Our video designer made a trip from the Eastern to the Western Cape especially for this performance; from Nelson Mandela's birthplace to Table Mountain. The images taken meander through the evening, while the residents take you on a journey through today's South Africa. As a bonus, you get a symbolic suitcase full of Xhosa wisdom from Mandela; everything revolves around togetherness and a sense of community, or Ubuntu: 'man is only human in relation to others'.
